Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is a common foot condition characterized by inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot, connecting the heel bone to the toes. This inflammation typically results from excessive strain, overuse, or biomechanical abnormalities, leading to pain and discomfort in the heel or bottom of the foot, especially with the first steps in the morning or after periods of rest. Chiropractic care offers a conservative and holistic approach to managing plantar fasciitis by addressing underlying musculoskeletal imbalances, reducing inflammation, and promoting foot health.

Symptoms:

  • Pain and tenderness in the heel or bottom of the foot
  • Pain that worsens with the first steps in the morning or after prolonged standing or walking
  • Stiffness and tightness in the foot, particularly in the morning or after periods of rest
  • Swelling and inflammation along the plantar fascia
  • Pain that may radiate along the arch of the foot or into the toes
